We recently received a note from Paul A. Freeman in reply to a story we wrote about all the new zombie books coming out. Here it is reposted: I.m the author of .Robin Hood and Friar Tuck: Zombie Killers . A Canterbury Tale by Paul A. Freeman., and I would like this opportunity, if I may, to put my book into context. Although my novella includes zombies, it.s not actually part of the .monster mash. movement of rewiting classic books. The Robin Hood legends we all know and love are actually composed of myth fragments from a number of sources. Although I allude to one or two of these fragments in my book, my novella is in effect an original tale. In fact, the first half takes place not in Sherwood Forest but in the Holy Land during the ill-fated First Crusade. .Robin Hood and Friar Tuck: Zombie Killers. is alternatively titled .The Monk.s Second Tale., and is the longest of a series of eight .new. Canterbury Tales that I.ve so far written. There are no more zombie Canterbury Tales in the offing, however you may be glad to know that the next three I'm about to start work on include a magical tapestry that gives the weaver three ambiguous wishes, an enchantrees / witch whose dungeon is full of knights tricked by her beauty, and a trip with Death through the period of the Black Death Thank you for giving me this chance at explaining what on the face of things is a sensationally titled, band-wagon book (pimped in the link below), but is in reality meant to be anything but. http://coscomentertainment.com/robinhoodzombies.html To check out my website and my Chaucer project in more detail, click on the link below: www.paulfreeman.weebly.com All the best Paul A. When the very earth you walk upon betrays you, you do have to take a bit of time and re-align your eitxcpateons as well as your sense of reality. What is real? What is dependable? How can I protect and provide for my loved ones? Heavy stuff. Some muses never come out of hiding after events like these. Yours is pretty darn resilient and since she is part of you, (and since the other part of you is doing the butt-in-chair bit) you should feel pretty darn good about her and about yourself. Attagirl!
